Download the HTC modem driver onto your computer (see Resources).

Connect one end of a USB cable to your Pocket PC, then connect the other end of the USB cable to an available port on your computer. Wait for Windows to recognize your Pocket PC device and establish a connection.

Tap on the "Start" menu on your Pocket PC, then go to "Programs" and tap on "Modem Link." Select "USB" in the "Connection" dropdown menu. Select "Internet" under the "Access Point Name" dropdown menu.

Tap the "Activate" button at the bottom of the screen.

Wait for the "Found New Hardware Wizard" to open on your computer. Select "No, not this time" when the hardware wizard asks if it can search for new software. Hit the "Next" button to proceed.

Select the "Install From a List" option. Click on the "Next" button to continue.

Select the "Search for the best drivers in these locations" option. Check the box next to "Include this location in the search." Select your Pocket PC's location. Hit the "Next" button to continue.

Wait for the "Found New Hardware Wizard" to finish installing the software for your Pocket PC. Click on the "Finish" button. Wait for the "HTC USB Modem" window to open.

Type in "Internet" in the "APN" text box. Select the "HTC USB Modem" in the "Modem" dropdown menu. Click on the "Dial" button to connect to the Internet. No username or password is needed.
