HACKING SYMBIAN PHONE FIRMWARE TO ACCEPT UNSIGNED APPLICATION

Download and Run Navifirm v1.3 (internet connection required) and wait for it to load "Product list". Search for your phone in the list and select it (For example Nokia N8, RM-596). Wait for the Navifirm to load "Releases (Software version)" in the next adjacent pane. Select the latest release and wait for Navifirm to load "Variants (Product codes)". Search and select your phones product code and wait for Navifirm to load files in the last pane. Select all the files and download them to your computer. Depending upon your phone model and internet connection speed, download may take several minutes to hours. Part2/4 Now you need to use NokiaCooker v1.1 in case you couldn't run it directly, you will need to open RunAsDate v1.04 and set the date in it let's say to (01 June 2011), then browse for NokiaCooker and click the Run button. After you open NokiaCooker, go to "Open Firmware" option, locate and open the ".uda.fpsx" firmware file (one of the files you have downloaded in Part 1 above). In the opened file, navigate to the "bin" folder (path – sys\bin), all files in the bin folder will be shown in the adjacent pane. Now "drag and drop" the 3 {Patch ldd Files} inside the "bin" folder (in the files list at right hand side pane). After all the three files have been copied, select "Save Firmware". Wait for a while as rebuilding process will take some time. Part3/4 Now you need to flash your mobile with both the original firmware and the modified firmware, by using {Phoenix Service 2011 v14} a tutorial on how to use it will be posted separately in the next post a long with the download links for it. Part4/4 After flashing is complete, download {RomPatcherPlus v3.1 } and install it in the mobile. Now run it and go to (Options >> All Patches >> Apply) Exit the app and done!
