CONFIGURATION
U MUST KNOW LITTLE ABOUT COMPUTER B4 PERFORMING THIS
FIRST U NEED TO PING UR HOST AND IT GOES LIKE
Windows: Start -> Accessories --> Command prompt
When the window opens, type:
ping domain.com (where domain.com is the host you want to ping)
To output to a text file so you can copy/paste, attach to ticket, etc, type:
ping domain.com > ping.txt
The ping.txt file will be created in your home directory.
For Mac:
GUI:
Open Finder, go to Applications, Utilities, and then click "Network Utility" - you will have a handy tool for running ping tests.
COMMAND LINE:
Open Finder, go to Applications, Utilities, and then click "Terminal" - when the window opens, type in:
ping domain.com (where domain.com is the host you want to ping)
To output to a text file so you can copy/paste, attach to ticket, etc, type:
ping domain.com > ping.txt
The ping.txt file will be created in your home directory.

traceroute domain.com
